Full-time, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC)
Northland Counseling Recovery Program- International Falls, MN

Northland Counseling Recovery Program is an affiliate of Northland Counseling Center, Inc., a large provider of mental health and chemical dependency services. We are seeking an LADC to provide services within our Intensive Outpatient program. Currently, the group is offered using a hybrid model of in-person and virtual options. The program offers Assessment and Treatment services and is within a brand new, state of the art, mental health center. Northland Counseling Center is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, providing access to an array of services including Care Coordination, Outpatient Mental Health services, ARMHS, Behavioral Health Home, Telehealth Psychiatry, and so much more.

Northland Counseling Recovery Program is located in International Falls, MN approximately 150 miles north of Duluth, MN. Considered a Gateway to Voyageur’s National Park, International Falls is the perfect setting for the outdoor enthusiast. Essential Functions of the LADC Position:
• Provide direct SUD services in Outpatient program for substance abuse and co-occurring
disorders using group and individual counseling, lectures, and other approved methods.
• Develop individualized treatment plans as required.
• Timely documentation of appropriate services including chemical use assessment summaries,
treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the electronic health record (Credible)
• Participate in multidisciplinary clinical review meetings with clinical team at Northland
Counseling Center.
• Coordinate client involvement with community agencies and resources

Minimum Requirements:
• Must be licensed by the State of Minnesota as a Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor
• Must have two years of freedom from chemical use problems
• Must pass a State of Minnesota Background Check
• Must possess a current Minnesota Driver’s License with acceptable driving record

Benefit Package:
Salary is competitive, $48,000-60,000, depending on qualifications. Benefits include health, dental, life, and short and long-term disability insurance; Health Savings Account with employer contribution; 403b with a 4% match; eligible for profit sharing; virtual wellness platform; access to ongoing consultation; training stipend; and paid days off. Residential Crisis Stabilization Unit Technician

Valley Pine Center

Position: Part-time to Full-time

Reports to: Residential Crisis Stabilization Unit Coordinator

Pay: DOQ, $14.50+/Hour, Dependent on Experience/Qualifications, overnight/weekend differential.  Typical Shift: Day, Evening, Overnight, Weekends

Benefits eligible including Medical, Dental, and Vision, HSA, 403b with 4%, Term Life Insurance, and others depending on employment status.

This position serves as a direct support technician for the Valley Pine Center Residential Crisis Stabilization Unit at Northland Counseling Center in International Falls, MN.  Valley Pine Center provides short-term, residential crisis stabilization services for up to 5 adults experiencing mental health crisis.

Required

  • Pass a background check
  • Valid MN driver’s license
  • Interest in or experience working in the mental health field
  • 18 years or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Position Responsibilities

  • Follow agency confidentiality and privacy policies
  • Respectfully communicate and interact with clients and staff
  • Comply with agency’s Policies & Procedures and update in accordance with relevant Minnesota Statutes when appropriate
  • Coordinate with Crisis Response Team Director and staff, other Northland Counseling staff, and outside agencies when needed
  • Timely completion of necessary paperwork
  • Preparation of meals with/for clients
  • Complete daily cleaning checklist
  • Provide awake supervision when clients are on the Unit
  • Complete all required training and ensure staff completion of required trainings
  • Participate in staff meetings as required
  • Other duties as needed

Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Mental Health Clinician

We are seeking to hire a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our collegial clinical team. Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist may also apply. Unlicensed individuals pursuing licensure will be considered for the positions as well. Northland Counseling Center is Rule 29 Community Mental Health Center serving Koochiching County. We currently provide a broad range of safe and effective, outpatient mental health services as a Trauma Informed Care Mental Health Center including: assessment, evaluations and testing; individual, couples, family, and group therapy; as well as specialized services for individuals with serious and persistent mental health issues.

Primary duties of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Mental Health Clinician include: conducting diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, psychotherapy; coordination of care, complete clinical documentation consistent with professional standards and managed care contracts; attend weekly clinical staff meeting and case consultation meeting; maintain compliance with licensing board rules Code of Ethics, and agency standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of graduate degree by start of employment and in pursuit of license
  • Experience with DSM-V diagnoses
  • Experience completing required paperwork efficiently
  • Ability to work collegially with other professionals and staff
  • Flexible and adaptive
  • Ability to stay calm and think clearly under stress and when faced with crises

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed in the state of Minnesota by respective board
  • Trauma Informed Care experience
  • DC 0-5 and Early Childhood Intervention
